The Condura Skyway Marathon 2012 – Run for the Mangroves will be happening on Sunday, February 5,  2012. This year’s race is pretty exciting since this is the first time that they will be allowing the 3k and 5k runners to run on the Skyway.  Other categories for the  Condura Skyway Marathon 2012 are 10K, 16K, 21K and 42K.

There are some workstations installed where you can register online. Also on display are the singlets’ sample sizes and finishers medals for the different race categories.

This is the fourth year of the Condura Run for the Dolphins and every year, with the growth of the running community, more and more people are joining the advocacy. Here are some reasons to join the race:

• Php 50 donation per runner plus any surplus goes to the protection of the Dolphins of Baclayon, Bohol
• Every runner gets a medal
• 16K new race category
• First 10K on the Skyway – Last year it was only the 42K and 21K runners who were able to run at the Skyway
• Special Edition Dolphin Shirt – the dri-fit shirt is an improvement from last year’s t-shirt

Below are the Race Categories and Registration Fees:

• 42k – Php 1250
• 21K – Php 1150
  
• 16K – Php 1050
• 10K – Php 950
  
• 5K – Php 750
  
• 3K – Php 550

Yep, the registration fee’s bit expensive especially for the higher categories.

I was able to register for the Condura Run last year but I was down with a flu on the race day. I’m still thinking on what category to register but definitely I’m not gonna miss this one.

You can register at the booths at Greenbelt until January 31.
