Event Schedule for the 17^th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012 happening on February 9 to 12, 2012 at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, Philippines.

Now on its second day, the PhotoWorld Asia 2012 will be running until Friday next week. The 9-day event scheduled from January 26 to 31, 2012 (in Manila) is an annual event sponsored by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc (FPPF) that comprises of a photography trade show and a series of photography seminars conducted by renowned local and foreign photographers.

The PhotoWorld Asia 2012 photo trade show is at Glorietta Activity Center, Makati and the educational series at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). A hands-on workshop / photo shoot will also be held on January 31 at the Fernbrook in Las Piñas. Topping off the event will be a photo safari in Banaue from February 1 to 3.

PhotoWorld Asia 2012 is headed by its Chairman, the multi-awarded travel photographer George Cabig.

The 2012 PhotoWorld Asia’s speakers and guests includes American commercial photographer Jack Reznicki, German sports and nature photographer Peter Frank, US professional photographer Doran Wilson and top American digital guru Don Emmerich. Also highlighting the event are noted Filipino photographers Manny and Boboy Librodo, Daks Bangawan, Luis Liwanag, Lester Ledesma and Eric Cabales.

Photos (and a couple of videos) of the SM Mall of Asia Giant Ferris Wheel.

The SM Mall of Asia Giant Ferris Wheel ( MOA Eye ) opened to the public last Friday. I was able to drop by MOA this weekend and took some photos and a couple of video clips of the Ferris wheel. I was not able ride the new attraction though because of the crowd. They say that this is the biggest Ferris wheel in the country so far (bigger than that of EKs), having 36 air-conditioned gondolas, each capable of seating up to six persons.

Hope I’d get to ride the giant Ferris wheel this week and take some photos / videos inside the gondola. Meanwhile, check out the photos and videos of the SM Mall of Asia Giant Ferris Wheel below. Oh yeah, A 10 minute ride will cost you Php 150.

Photos from the BUM Grand Fashion Show held the other Friday at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.

Entitled “Reveal Your Darkside”, the fashion event seeks to inspire teens to express their angst, passion and identity more freely through BUM’s holiday collection.

Leading BUM models strut their stuffs in the runway are BUM ‘s celebrity endorsers Empress Schuck and Dino Imperial of ABS-CBN and Bea Binene of GMA 7.

A cosplay event was also held simultaneously.
