This made me cry. My father was also an OFW and spent most of his prime working in the Middle East. On his last work contract, he was abroad for 13 years straight. We were so happy to see him again last year although this was short-lived since he migrated to the US after some months.

To all the OFWs who are working really hard and sacrificing their time apart from their wives, husbands and children to give their family a bright future, Merry, Merry Christmas!!!

Quite a disappointment especially now that things are just heating up on the 2011 NBA Playoffs. I rarely watch tv but BTV is one of the few channels that I tune in to on my free time. News was Solar Entertainment Corporation made Basketball TV exclusive to SkyCable.

Global Destiny Cable replaced BTV with NBA Premium TV but the service doesn’t come for free. To have this 24/7 all-basketball channel, you have to shell out Php 150 on top of your current monthly subscription. That’s 30% of your monthly payment for a single channel.

I can transfer to SkyCable but I didn’t want to go through all the hassles of removing and replacing my current cable tv subscription, not to mention the extra costs. It really sucks and it didn’t leave me any choice but to avail of the NBA Premium TV subscription.

Installation of the NBA Premium TV includes the installation and activation of the Global Destiny digital box. You don’t have to pay for the installation and activation but you have to pay the initial advanced payment of 4 months, with a lock-in period of two years.

They also have a promo where you can watch two Manny Pacquiao fights for free, that is if you pay in advance the whole 2 year subscription.
