Makati Wi-Fi City

Jul 11, 2012 by

Makati will soon be the country’s first Wi-Fi City.

Starting tomorrow, the Makati City Hall will be a Free Wi-Fi Zone.

And this is just to kick-off the City Government of Makati’s project which aims to install Free Wi-Fi in all its 33 Barangays, a move to make Makati City the first Wi-Fi City in the Philippines.

Makati City will also launch its Twitter account (@MakatiTraffic) for real time traffic updates.

It’s really more fun in Makati. :)

  1. I wonder how they plan to accomplish this? Technologically you need a tremendous amount of resources to enable Wi-Fi in a large area, much more an entire city. I’ll believe it when I see it.
