UPDATE February 1, 2012: Pulse Saturdays 3 coming up
Members of the hip-hop community, urban fashionistas, artists and celebrities gathered last Saturday at the Urban Athletics in Greenbelt 3 for the launch of two of the newest brands to hit its store – Dada Footwear and Philippine Street Plan (PSP) X UA Collab Shirt.
Dada Footwear
From its humble beginnings as a hat and T-shirt company in 1995 designed for the urban basketball youth, Dada is now the hottest urban basketball brand in Europe producing clothing and apparel for the hip-hop community. Some famous athletes and entertainers who have endorsed the Dada urban and athletic lines include NBA players Latrell Sprewell of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chris Webber, Karl Malone and Horace Grant of the Los Angeles Lakers, Snoop Dogg, Ludracris and Leonardo Di Caprio .

Pilipinas Street Plan (PSP) X Urban Athletics Collaboration
Urban Athletics has always believed in supporting home-grown talents and has recently collaborated with renowned underground graffiti artists Pilipinas Street Plan (PSP). The team up assembled PSP’s top creative artists Whoop, Nemo, Jood and Vermont in designing limited edition shirts that mixes PSP’s artisticity with Urban Athletics’ persona.
Pulse Saturdays 2
A follow-up on the first Pulse Saturdays held last October 8, Urban Athletics also launched the Kings on Deck Vol. 2 Mixtape. The hottest and most talented artists in the hip-hop and urban scence including DJ Nix Damn P. of YenTown Kid Co, MC Ron Thug of Wika Records, Pow Chavez, Ron Henley and BNK (Blaze and Kane) performed during the event. Unschooled, fresh from winning the bronze medal in the World Supremacy Battlegrounds in Australia also showed off their moves.
Guests were treated to a free flowing beer and an NBA 2k12 competition and celebrity Beer Pong were also played. Exciting prizes from brands such as NIKE, Wip Caps, Adidas, Dada Footwear, and more were given away.
Other celebrities and personalities who attended the event include Dello of Fliptop, Matt Padilla and Orwayne De Leon of Philippine All Stars, Sudan Daniels, YouTube sensation Moymoy Palaboy and Harvey Carey of Talk and Text.
