Had my gear checked-up at Canon Service Center in Waltermart Makati
The service center just opened recently so I guess you can still enjoy a little waiting time to get your Canon cameras, dSLRs or printers repaired since there are not a lot of clients (yet) than in Canon Service Center Magallanes

I looked for reviews of the canon service center here in manila and i was aghast by the bad reviews, like it takes canon forever to fix the camera (if at all), that canon charges like you were buying a new camera, etc. So i took a chance and searched for other repair options and found this: . I went there yesterday and got my canon ixus 860is fixed for 1.2k (lens error – stuck) in under an hour. All told, i’ve no regrets. just sharing, hope it helps others.

ask lng po bka naencounter nyo ang gnitong error…I have Canon IXUS 75, one day when I opened it, it says memory card error..I thought na-corrupt lng ung memory card ko. Itinago ko muna sya for a while..after 2-3 days, I was supposed to use it with a new memory card pero it won’t open na..I charged the battery first, thinking it was the problem..nung full charge n, ayaw p din mag-open..I tried 3-5 times and then eventually nag-open n sya pro memory card error p din. I removed the memory card and took a picture but it gave me a “cannot record” error. ano po kaya problem ng cam ko? any idea kung mgkano pagawa nun pra may idea din po ako pag punta ko ng service center? magkano po kung checkup lng ng cam s service center. LCD Replacement kasi yung LCD na pinakabit ko rin dati sa Canon Chino Roces, parang nag wrinkles and parang sofang inupuan ng matagal. Walang kuenta mga parts na nirereplace nila. Di tumatagal.
and then error sa camera lens ko na kapag itu-turn on ko siya, gagana and after 3 seconds. “E18″ na ang lumalabas and magbebeep siya at mamatay. Nagbasa ako sa Google, may dumi lang daw yun sa lens, pero sinabihan nila ako sa Canon Waltermart na kailangan ko ireplace. LOLs.
Iniisip ko kung itutuloy ko ba pagpapagawa or pull-out ko na lang. Kapresyo ng isang bagong digicam yung repair and replacement. Puro gasgas na rin naman yun. Pero sayang kasi 80% parts ng camera is functioning naman.
Ano kaya sa’yo Daddy Joey? tutuloy ko ba (kasi sayang… gumagana pa rin yun) or bumili ng bago (same price pero yug old cam mo, matatago na lang sa baul.)

@JunePhilippines = canon waltermart din dinalhan namin ng ixy700 they are charging us for repair 13k…whaaaa!! sabi ko nga di naman ako bumibili, nagpaparepair lang, then yung handycam namin na nastock sa taguan ng matagal pinasilip ko rin kasi nawala yung charger ng battery so di ko alam kung sa totally drained na bat kaya ayaw mag power-on or whatever…. 26k! daw !!!

Ask ko lang po…when you said walk via footbridge…may overpass po ba o bridge na tatawiran? big concern for me kasi may fear of heights po ako at hinde ko po kaya tumawid ng overpass o bridge na kita yung highway sa ibaba… thnx po

just wna ask lang po..i have a problem with my digital IXUS Canon cam kasi..everytime inoopen ko sya, nag aautomatic zoomed in sya khit diko pinipindot, pag binabalik ko na po ayaw na nyang ma zoomed out…diko rin mapindot ung shot..i cant even pressed the display..anu po kya nging problem nya and if ever po mga magkanu po kya repair non? tga bulacan po ako so ask ko ndin po where is the nearest service center ng canon dito?thank you po…=)
