How to Upgrade Your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to Android 2.1 OS

THE LONG WAIT IS OVER!!! Sony Ericsson Users can now upgrade their Xperia X10 handsets to Android 2.1 (Eclair) OS.

Sony Ericsson has posted the new updates for the Xperia X10, Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 Mini Pro on their Product Blog for download.

I’ll be updating my X10i later and hopefully share with you my experiences on the 2.1 upgrade.

Meanwhile, here’s a step by step video on how to upgrade/update your Sony Ericsson Xperia to Android 2.1 OS.

Here’s a link on some of the changes that comes with the update.

UPDATED: I tried upgrading my X10i following the instructions from SE website twice but still didn’t get a 2.1 upgrade although the pc companion says that everything is up to date. Looks like the 2.1 upgrade will just work on X10s with nordic roms.

UPDATE 2: Finally installed Android 2.1 OS on my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i
