Finding gifts for dad on Father’s Day can be challenging. Oftentimes, dad is the most hard to please among the family members. Here are some gift ideas and activities to make Father’s Day extra special for daddy.
- Gadgets - If your dad is a techie, buying him a gadget will surely bring a smile to his face. Whether it is a shiny iPod, iPhone or an iPad or simply an external hard disk drive or a pair of headphones, buying him a gadget within your budget would be a good idea.
- Find a gift for a hobby or for an activity he enjoys. If he’s into photography, a new lens or flash or camera accessories like tripod, bags, neck strap or lens cleaner would be great.
- Car accessories or Automotive repair tools – For dads who treat their car like their own baby. This could be a GPS navigation system, in car entertainment, reverse sensor/camera or a car cover, seat cover, a personalized sticker or key chain.
- Home repair tools – Most dads love to repair things at home on weekends. Buy him drills, fasteners, electrical tools or hand tools.
- Buy him a ticket to a concert of his favorite band or treat him to his favorite restaurant.
- You can also plan an out of town trip with the whole family.
- Clothing or accessories – Could be a polo shirt, t-shirt, a pair of slacks, wallet, belt or tie.
- A watch could be a perfect Father’s Day gift.
- Grooming, Perfume and Cologne – Buy him a new shaving kit, a perfume or a cologne.
- Liquor - Wine, brandy or whiskey for daddy’s mini-bar.
Again, celebrating Father’s Day need not be expensive. Here are some more practical and inexpensive gift ideas that daddy will surely love.
- Personalized shirt, cap or coffee mug.
- A jersey or a cap of his favorite basketball or sports team.
- An audio CD of his favorite band or
- DVD of his favorite movies
- A bouquet of flowers, a cake or ice cream
- A personalized or hand-made Father’s Day card or a Father’s day poem
Father’s Day is a great time to show how special your dad is. Big gifts or small gifts, what’s important is that you are able to express your love and gratitude for your dad.
