Sony Philippines Playstation 3 Launch – Photos

Had some time to take a peek at the Sony Philippines PS3 launch yesterday at Glorietta. The event was hosted by Lia Cruz (crush :D ) and Sam YG a.k.a. Shivaker (late, as always as described by Lia :D ).

I was able to take some photos of the Cosplayers but needed to leave early so I wasn’t able to wait for the result.

Enjoy the photos. :)

I was at the PCC (a way bigger event than Sony’s). Common complaint from the cosplayers – Sony does not know how to organize the event – no exact written guidelines or complete specification, the event overlapped with the country’s biggest convention, there were no consolation prizes so it’s not rewarding or motivating enough, and PCC’s Lightning is a better Lightning, I guess. Hehehe.

it’s the ‘sony ps3 launch’, not ‘sony cosplay event’. the cosplay was just 1/N of the ’2 DAY EVENT’ which was graced by celebrities and some personalities alike. the fact that some big cosplayers were there and that some cosplayers were pissed that the event overlapped with the convention meant that this was not a ‘small’ event to ignore. i have even seen some cosplayers straight from the convention who tried to make it to the registration cut-off but failed. remember that you do something because you love the craft, not because of some consolation or reward. ;)

I know your point but for that part, I know some those who got cut off because the PS3 was motivating enough. Actually, I was the one who told them about the event. Hahaha. In fact, some told me that even Sony rep called them over the phone inviting them to join the Sony event. They even wondered how Sony got their numbers. Well long story, but that’s the premise.
